Dr. Okonkwo is an established Family Medicine physician and Geriatrician with extensive experience in family medicine and elderly care.
He is a board certified Family Medicine and Geriatrician. He completed his Family Medicine training at University of Minnesota Medical Center Residency Program in Minneapolis. He completed his Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Dr. Okonkwo currently works as a Hospitalist in HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, Houston, Texas.
Dr. Okonkwo was voted “Outstanding Physician of the Year” in Norman Regional Hospital 2021 for his exceptional care and dedication to his patients. Also, he was named Top Doc in the Norman and Oklahoma city area in 2021.
Dr. Okonkwo enjoys playing soccer in his spare time, taking walks with his wife, daughter, and puppy “Loki.”
